Terms of Service

These terms explain how Reelforge ("we", "us") works with you ("you", the client) when you use our video editing service. Please read them before buying a package. If anything is unclear, email hello@reelforgemedia.com and we'll explain.

1. Our service

We edit the footage you send us into short-form videos ("clips") for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. What's included in each package is shown on our pricing section at the time you buy.

• A clip is one finished video of up to 60 seconds, made from footage you supply. Longer clips are available as a custom package.
• Monthly packages (Starter, Growth, Pro) include a set number of clips each month.
• The Trial is a one-off package of 5 clips.
• Free samples are provided at our discretion, with no obligation to buy.

2. How ordering works

After you send an enquiry, we'll confirm the details with you by email and send a secure payment link. Our agreement starts when your payment is received. We may decline an order, for example if we can't meet your requirements, in which case you won't be charged.

3. Payment

• Prices are in pounds sterling (£). Payments are processed securely by Square. We never see your full card details.
• Monthly packages are paid in advance and renew automatically each month on the same date until you cancel.
• The Trial is a single one-off payment and does not renew.
• We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change to your monthly package.

4. Your clip allowance

Each month's clips become available when that month's payment is received. Unused clips roll over to the following month only, and then expire. Clips can't be exchanged for cash or refunds.

5. Your footage and what you're responsible for

• You send us your footage, usually via a shared link (for example Google Drive, Dropbox or YouTube), together with any instructions.
• You confirm that you own your footage or have permission to use it, including from anyone who appears in it, and that you have the rights to any music, logos or other material you ask us to include.
• We may refuse to edit content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights.

6. Delivery

We aim to deliver each clip within the turnaround time of your package (48 hours, or 24 hours on Pro). Turnaround is counted in working days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays) and starts once we have your footage and everything we need from you. If we're going to miss a deadline, we'll let you know as soon as possible.

7. Revisions

• Each clip includes the number of revision rounds stated in your package (2 as standard).
• A revision is a change to the clip we delivered, for example the captions, timing, music or a cut. It isn't a completely new edit, a different part of the footage, or new footage. Those count as a new clip.
• Please request revisions within 7 days of delivery.

8. Cancelling

• Monthly packages: you can cancel at any time by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've already paid for. You won't be charged again, and you can still use that month's clips.
• If you're a consumer (buying for personal use rather than for a business), you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of buying. If you ask us to start work during those 14 days, you'll pay for the work already done, and once all the clips in your order have been delivered, the right to cancel ends.
• We may end the agreement if payment fails, or if these terms are seriously broken, for example because of illegal content.

9. Refunds

If we can't deliver clips you've paid for, we'll refund you for those clips. If a delivered clip doesn't match your brief, tell us and we'll fix it through revisions. We don't give refunds for clips that were delivered as briefed, or for a month that has already started.

10. Who owns the videos

• Your original footage always remains yours.
• Once you've paid, the finished clips we make for you are yours to use however you like, including commercially.
• Any music, sound effects or stock footage we add is licensed for use on social media. Some licences have conditions, so ask us before using a clip in paid advertising or on TV.
• We'll only show your clips in our portfolio or marketing if you give us permission.

11. Our editors and your privacy

We work with trusted freelance editors, some of whom are based outside the UK. We remain responsible for their work and make sure they keep your footage confidential and use it only to edit your clips. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.

12. No guarantee of results

We'll do our best to make clips that perform well, but views, followers, engagement and sales depend on many things outside our control, so we can't guarantee any particular results.

13. Our liability

• If you're a business, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the problem arose, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, revenue, followers or opportunities.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law. If you're a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change affects an active monthly package, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies.

15. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
